How the empty pickup fee works
How the pickup fee works: No fee for 1.0 empty road mile or less. If the taxi is farther away, multiply all empty road miles by BZ$4 and round up to a multiple of BZ$5. Exact multiples stay unchanged. There is no base charge. For example, 2.5 empty miles adds BZ$10; 6.5 adds BZ$30.
Set this slider using the driver's agreed road distance to your pickup. Google Maps above calculates your passenger journey only; it does not locate a driver or calculate their empty pickup distance. The nearest reasonably available taxi should be offered. Agree any pickup fee and the full total with the driver before booking.
Confirm passenger numbers, licensed vehicle capacity, luggage space, and availability with the driver before booking. This estimate does not reserve a taxi.
